Some time ago guys at 8bitrocket.com announced the contest for Atari inspired, web-based game that’ll fit under 16 kilobytes. We took the challenge and have created a game called “16k Lander”. As the name suggest – it’s a cover of the Atari famous arcade title called “Lunar Lander”.
We’re very happy to tell you that “16k Lander” actually won the competition and claimed the Grand Prize!
Yup – we rock!

I’ve created another pixel-art illustration with Firefoxzilla (huge Fire-fox like mechanical droid that helps people) for challenge on Mozilla’s Creative Collective. It got to the top finals and scored quite a huge number of votes.
Let’s hope Firefoxzilla will keep coming back:)

DoodleBlast! by BlackMoon Design

We have created yet another great game. It’s called Doodle Blast and it’s a puzzle game where physics plays a major role. You need to draw lines in order to guide falling marbles so they will fill the jar. The game has got a nice, sketchy feel.

The Flash version of DoodleBlast have been sponsored by i6.com gaming portal.

DoodleBlast has been also launched on BlackBerry AppWorld, where it became one of the most popular game for Playbook with over 50,000 downloads. It’s free to download and play, with option to buy additional levels. Our game also won 2nd place in the BlackBerry Developer Challenge (in the Adobe AIR Application category).

The game also entered Dare with Bamboo and won 2nd place at the competition.
It’s available on the Bamboo Dock platform shipped with every Wacom Bamboo tablet.

The aim of the contest was to create a Air/Flash based app within 5 hours. The app main theme should have been “Birthday reminder”. I very happy to tell you that BlackMoon team (consiting of Mike as a programmer and myself as a designer) scored 3rd place in this contest.
We’ve created a “Urodzinofacebookoprzypominator” app, which connects to Facebook and reminds you if there’s anybody birthday on this given date (it can also run in the back and just show the notifications). The messages are pretty nice visually – we’ve created a set of custom numbers to depict the age. Stay tuned – we should upload the app for you to review soon.
Anyway – it was really a great event!
