Some time ago I took a Adobe Certified Expert test and passed it – just recently I got a official certificate that I’m a Photoshop ACE. Looks pretty cool:)

Some time age we’ve designed and developed a flash based site for local accountant office. We’ve chosen a humorous approach and depicted the office as typical as you can possible imagine – starting with vintage Pentium II pc and ending on the usual cup of coffee. Thankfully the client gave us total creative freedom, and he was very happy with the result in the end. The site is build with Flash, and it’s incorporating some sweet features like SWFAddress and Google Maps for Flash API. You can check the live version at http://rachmaj.pl

We’ve just launched new site for Papaya Films – one of the major polish video production companies.
The website we’ve made is a very minimalistic, sleek and usable. There’s a nice Wordpress based engine under the hood – which enables to showcase articles, images and video.

Since it’s a video production company – the ability to showcase great, HD quality videos was a must. We’ve prepared a custom video player in Flash, which is capable of showing full screen HD videos.

We’ve also prepared a special version of the site for the iPhone. The layout is modified for easier viewing and the video is supported by build-in QuickTime player rather than our Flash player.

I’ve setup a Facebook page for BlackMoon Design. “What for?” you might ask, “Don’t you have the blog on your own?”. That’s totally true, but there are some things that aren’t big and important enough to make a decent blog post and are a little too much to describe in 140 chars tweet. So – that where Facebook page comes in. Go ahead and check it out (and maybe even become our “fan” there – why not?).

Escape from the Planet of Robot Monsters – new flash game by BlackMoon released on Facebook

We’ve just launched a new flash game on Facebook (and several other platforms). It’s called “Escape form the Planet of Robot Monsters” and it’s light, funny shoot-them-up game. The main character is our astronaut Al (of course) and his monkey companion Scrappy. We’ve chosen the nice, pixel-art style for the game to add some retro flavour to it.
Go ahead and try the game here – I bet you won’t get to the highscore;)

3 months after the redesign

It has been three months since we’ve launched our new site – I guess that’s long enough to have some thoughts of how good we did it. BlackMoon site got some very nice recognition from major css galleries (like cssmania.com or csselite.com) and we also get a “website of the day” award from thecssawards.com.
We also got featured on some blogs – just to mention toxel.com.
Thanks for all your emails, tweets and other signs that you like our site – we really appreciate that.

Wow – my last pixel art piece won the 3rd place at Infectious contest. You can buy that design as laptop/iphone skin and soon it’ll be available as t-shirt and Firefox persona skin.
