Hi, I have tried to follow your step-by-step written instructions but I got stuck in that part -

“We go back to the orginal layer and choose Add Layer Mask option from right-click menu. We copy the black&white layer to the layer mask.”

I saw your video tutorial but the resolution is very small I cant hardly see the clicks of commands wou were using, and the high-resolution version of the tutorial is not found.

I really can use this tutorial very much. I would really appreiciates it if you can help me.

Awesome tutorials but you are way too fast. You could also do with a step by step explanation.
The detailed description you gave is not as it is “detailed”.
A step by step with screenshots will go a long way to help lots of people.
Brilliant technique you got though.

Thanks. I’m new to GIMP, and image manipulation programs in general, so even though I understand the concepts it’s not easy because I have to learn which buttons do what, what sequence to use them in, and where they are located. I’m afraid it’s going to take me a while, but with some more good tutorials like this one I’ll eventually get it.
